On March 22, Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG) hosted a Donor Reception at the InterContinental Hotel in Buckhead. It was wonderful to see our amazing and steadfast supporters, dedicated board members, and staff come out in to be a part of what makes Hemophilia of Georgia such an impactful and meaningful organization: working to transform lives in the bleeding disorder community by providing excellence in comprehensive health care, education, advocacy, and the support of research.
Georgia’s 2024 legislative session is in full swing, and we are excited to share that HoG Day at the Capitol took place in person for the first time since 2019! Our staff and volunteers gathered at the State Capitol on Monday, February 26th, 2024, to educate and advocate for the bleeding disorder community.
Camp Wannaklot is July 7-12, 2024! We are so excited to celebrate our 31st summer of Camp Wannaklot at our new location at Camp Twin Lakes Will-A-Way in Winder, GA. We are looking forward to this move as it will provide new and different program opportunities for our campers and the families that attend our Family Camp weekends.

Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG) continues its advocacy efforts alongside advocates nationwide, joining together in Washington, D.C. for the National Bleeding Disorder Foundation’s (NBDF) 2024 Washington Days from March 6-9. Rebecca Babkiewicz, Director of Telehealth, Michelle Conde, Senior Director of Advocacy, Jennifer Crabbe, Director of Nursing, and Robert Gillespie, Interim CEO, spearheaded the delegation.
Time is running out to register and purchase sponsorships to participate in our 2024 Trot to Clot, a 5K Walk/Run and 1 Mile Family Fun Walk, on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at The Battery @ Truist Park. You can help Hemophilia of Georgia raise money to support youth and family programming, including Camp Wannaklot, by participating in the Trot to Clot Walk/Run.
April 17 is World Hemophilia Day and a chance for you to join others around the world to raise awareness about hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. This year’s theme for World Hemophilia Day is “Equitable Access for All: Recognizing all bleeding disorders.”
National Healthcare Decision Day (NHDD) is coming up on April 16! This annual tradition is a day to explore and set aside time for the most important topic, YOU! Everyone over the age of 18 can use this day to plan ahead for all their important health decisions.
April is the last month to apply for the John W. Youtsey Memorial Scholarship. The money is granted to eligible Hemophilia of Georgia clients to pay for education after high school. You must qualify before applying. Submit your online pre-qualification form by May 1 to see if you qualify. More...
