Reminder – Scholarship Deadline Is April 17
April is the last month to apply for the John W. Youtsey Memorial Scholarship. The money is granted to eligible Hemophilia of Georgia clients to pay for education after high school. You must qualify before applying. Submit your online pre-qualification form by May 1 to see if you qualify.
To qualify, you must:
- Be an HoG client with hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, or other inherited bleeding disorder. If you are a child of a parent who died of bleeding disorder problems and your parent was an HoG client, you can also apply.
- Live in Georgia AND be a permanent resident for one year.
- Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Be enrolled in an accredited college, university, vocational, technical, or professional degree program OR be accepted by an accredited college, university, vocational, technical, or professional degree program for the 2024-25 school year.
- Agree to volunteer for at least 12 hours with HoG or another HoG-approved group. with HoG or other approved organization. This requirement must be completed by May 1, 2024.
