Interested in career planning but not sure where to start? There is a wonderful resource called, My Next Move, that is sponsored by the U.S Department of Labor Employment & Training Administration and can help you search detailed information about careers, discover your interests, and get career matching and training information. It also provides links to resources for apprenticeships and employment opportunities. The website is a fantastic resource to get vital information that can help you or a loved one with long-range career planning goals. Visit them today to get started at https://www.mynextmove.org/.

Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG) values education and training and has programs that can help with work readiness and career advancement. HoG has developed a program to assist clients and underage parents of clients in pursuing educational advancements. The program can help with non-degreed education or certification courses. Examples include forklift driving certifications, continuing education classes, and English as a second language. The funds can also be used to pay for Basic Life Support, First Aid, and CPR certifications. HoG clients also have the opportunity to apply for our Youtsey Memorial Scholarship annually to pursue degree programs. If you have questions about paying for training or education, please contact your HoG social worker at 770-518-8272.
