Hemophilia of Georgia Needs Assessment Survey

All families in Georgia affected by inherited bleeding disorders are invited and encouraged to participate in a needs assessment survey being conducted by Community Evaluation Solutions, Inc. for HoG. Each family will get a card in the mail in the next couple of weeks inviting you to go to a website to complete a survey about HoG programs and services.  Read more.

Chloe and Stone 150 pxChloe and Stone’s Lemonade Stand

Eight-year-old Chloe recently sent a letter to the Hemophilia of Georgia office, along with a donation.  In her letter, Chloe explained that her brother has hemophilia and that they had a lemonade stand and sold crafts to raise money for HoG. Read more.

Emory/Children’s Hemophilia Clinic Moves to One Location

Emory University/Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta would like to inform patients of an upcoming change to their Comprehensive Hemophilia Program. The Children’s at Scottish Rite hemophilia clinic will be permanently moving to Children’s at Egleston the week of September 5, 2011. This means all patients will now be treated at one location.  Read more.

Leaders in Training GTI 250 pxLeaders in Training on the Road!

Five of Hemophilia of Georgia’s Leaders in Training (LIT) teens were selected to participate as a team in Georgia Teen Institute (GTI) June 14 - 17.  GTI 2011 brought together over 390 youth leaders from across the state for four days of leadership skill building at Emory University’s Oxford College in Covington.  Offered by GUIDE (Gwinnett United in Drug Education), GTI provides youth leaders an opportunity to develop lifelong empowering skills in a supportive and fun environment.
