HoG is conducting a needs assessment to find out what our clients want and need. People who have inherited bleeding disorders or the parents of children with bleeding are invited to participate in one of four focus groups around the state over the next few weeks. Read more.

Hemophilia of Georgia Hosts Trot to Clot Walks
On Saturday, April 16, 2011, Hemophilia of Georgia held the second annual Trot to Clot Walk at East Cobb Park in Marietta, GA. Nearly 50 walkers raised over $10,000 for programs and services to support the bleeding disorders community of Georgia. Read more.

Legislative Wrap-up 2011
On April 14, minutes before midnight, the Georgia General Assembly ended its regular session for 2011. Georgians with bleeding disorders fared well this year, with legislation that benefits our community passing and potentially harmful bills being rejected. Read more.
HoG Thanks Volunteers
Hemophilia of Georgia's annual Volunteer Reception was held Tuesday, April 12 in Roswell, Georgia. More than 100 people attended the evening reception honoring the volunteers who served HoG during 2010. Throughout the year, 167 people gave nearly 8,000 hours of service to HoG. Read more.

Screening for Post-Partum Depression
When you listen to women speak about post-partum depression, you realize that it often involves a great deal of suffering and confusion for the women themselves and their worried family members. Women who have a history of being abused, who are struggling financially or who give birth to a baby considered "different," as in having a disability, all are at higher risk for post-partum depression.
