Hemophilia of Georgia Gives $10 Million to Emory

Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG) pledged $10 million to Emory University to benefit the Emory School of Medicine and Emory Healthcare. Hemophilia of Georgia and Emory have a long-standing charter to provide comprehensive care to people with bleeding disorders in Georgia. The money will be used to provide patient care and fund research at the newly named Hemophilia of Georgia Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders of Emory. Tom Singh, Chief Governance Officer of the HoG Board of Directors, presented an honorary check to Christine Kempton, MD, MSc, the director of Emory’s bleeding disorder program, at HoG’s Appreciation Reception, held at The Whitley (hotel), on April 12. Donors and volunteers were honored at the reception for their outstanding contributions.
