Meet the Pharmacy Staff: Connie Knorr
This month’s employee in the spotlight is Connie Knorr, CPhT, Pharmacy Purchasing Coordinator. Connie is a Certified Pharmacy Technician and has been with HoG since 1997. She has always been drawn to the medical profession, especially helping others. She started out working at St. Joseph’s hospital as a pharmacy tech and became certified through correspondence courses.
Her favorite part about working at HoG is the client interaction. She enjoys speaking with people every day and is excited when she can meet them in person at client dinners and events. “I love to hear from clients about ideas to make their life easier,” commented Connie. She encourages people to call with suggestions about safety and prevention products, as well as infusion supplies.
She grew up on a small farm in Mobile, AL, and loves the Gulf Coast. Connie is married to Brian with two children (Tiffany and Jonathan), and three grandchildren (Parker, Alexis, and Caden). They rescued a Jack Russell mix about six years ago and were told he would never be able to be around small children because of his aggressive behavior, which was the result of many years of abuse. She is pleased to report with a lot of TLC, Shadow is a very loving companion and great with small children.
Connie is an eleven-year breast cancer survivor and is thankful for her support network at home and at HoG. She raises money for breast cancer research and has participated in the Three-Day Walk twice. Her experience has taught her that all things can be accomplished with God’s help and hard work.
