Donna M. had always been aware of her joint issues, but after her second hip replacement surgery in 2016, her hip wouldn’t stop bleeding. This led to a diagnosis of moderate hemophilia B, and she was referred to Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG). Although Donna knew that hemophilia ran distantly on both sides of her family, she was surprised by her diagnosis, as women are often underdiagnosed due to different symptom presentations and a general lack of awareness that women can have bleeding disorders. Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG) is excited to announce it has once again achieved accreditation status by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC) for its specialty pharmacy services. We are proud that HoG has continuously achieved this status since 2009.

Mark your calendars for our 2025 Score Fore a Cure Topgolf event in Alpharetta! Score Fore a Cure will be held on Thursday, March 25th from 7:00-10:00 pm at 10900 Westside Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30009 and will benefit research for a cure for hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.

The year 2024 has been a year filled with exciting changes and great success for Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG) as we continue to focus on serving the bleeding disorder community. Hemophilia of Georgia has funded comprehensive care at five HTCs, two telehealth clinics, research, scholarships, advocacy, youth leadership training and provided global support.
