Meet the Outreach Staff: Jen Caruso
This month’s featured employee is Jen Caruso, BSN, Hemophilia of Georgia Outreach Nurse. Jen has two Bachelor of Science degrees. Her first is in food service management and her second is in nursing. She is also certified in chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions. She came to HoG in March, 2017. Jen was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, and moved to Atlanta when she was young. She started on a career path in corporate America and realized she wanted a change. She had always wanted to be a nurse, but was afraid to pursue it because of the math that might be involved. She gathered her courage and enrolled in University of West Georgia and graduated with a BSN in 2007.
Jen is involved in community groups at North Point Ministries and is passionate about Wellspring Living, a nonprofit that helps young women who are victims of human trafficking. She is inspired by the young girls who make positive changes against the most impossible odds.
When asked about HoG, Jen shared, “I feel extremely blessed to be part of Hemophilia of Georgia. I feel that HoG embodies two of the principles that I value most - integrity and service. I feel honored to be part of such an incredible organization that is doing extraordinary things for the bleeding disorder community in the state of Georgia.”
