On Tuesday, March 24 more than 130 supporters of Hemophilia of Georgia gathered at Villa Christina to enjoy a special evening of recognition and celebration. The perfect spring weather provided for a lovely evening, which everyone in attendance was able to enjoy.

During the program, HoG’s new CEO, Maria Manahan, was introduced and had the opportunity to speak about the bright future she sees for HoG with the continued encouragement of such dedicated supporters.

Trish Dominic, HoG’s outgoing CEO, presented Maria with a number of gifts and accolades.  She also recognized Nick Blackmon for his outstanding service to HoG as the Board of Directors’ Chief Governance Officer from 2013 to 2015.

Trish was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement award, recognizing all she has done for the bleeding disorder community and organization during her 30-plus years at HoG.

In addition, Dan Mathews, Director of Camping Services for Camp Twin Lakes, was presented with a donation of $15,000 to upgrade CTL's wireless and internet services so that they can better serve all of the campers who attend Camp Wannaklot and other camps throughout the year.

During the reception, several other awards were presented. Award winners included:

Camp Wannaklot Volunteer of the Year: Stormy Johnson

Hit ’Em for Hemophilia Volunteer of the Year: Jason Hunsucker

Outstanding Volunteer of the Year: Kerri Leland

Sponsor of the Year: Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Gwinnett
