Genetic Counselor, Actor, Educator, Computer Analyst, Engineer, Criminal Justice Officer, Automotive Technician, Lawyer, Nurse, Physical Therapist, International Marketing Manager, Aerospace Engineer, Geologist, Digital Media Manager, Politician, Historian, Veterinarian: these are the dreams of our 2013 scholarship recipients. Even if you are undecided about your future major, now is the time to apply for HoG’s John Youtsey Memorial Scholarship. The application deadline is May 1, 2014.
This scholarship program helps Georgia students who are affected by bleeding disorders and lack the resources to achieve their educational goals. Students who receive the John Youtsey Memorial Scholarship can use the funds for college, vocational, or technical school. Scholarships are granted based on scholastic achievement, financial need, and personal goals. Full details about eligibility requirements are available online.
These scholarships are awarded in memory of John Youtsey, former professor and Associate Dean of the College of Health Sciences at Georgia State University. Youtsey provided dedicated leadership to Hemophilia of Georgia from its inception in 1973 until his death in 1996. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Hemophilia of Georgia and chaired the Scholarship Committee.
To help students affected by bleeding disorders get the education they need, Hemophilia of Georgia has provided over $975,000 in scholarships to more than 390 students. You can help make a life-long difference for a deserving student by contributing to the scholarship fund today.
