Horizons in Hemophilia, September 2011
By Vic McCarty, Director of Development
Mark your calendar for the third annual Trot to Clot Walk and Run which will be held at Stone Mountain Park on Saturday, May 19, 2012. Last year, HoG clients, family members, and corporate sponsors raised more than $30,000 through the Trot to Clot Walk and Run. Once again, the money contributed through the Trot to Clot Walk and Run will support programs and services that benefit the Georgia bleeding disorder community.
The Trot to Clot Run is for runners of all ages. Prizes will be awarded to the first-place male and female runners and to the top youth runners in various age categories. Prizes will also be awarded to the two individual walkers and to the teams that raise the most money. The Trot to Clot Walk and Run features many family fun activities. Participants are encouraged to stay at Stone Mountain Park and enjoy the attractions.
Corporate sponsorships will be available in November for organizations of various sizes. Community exposure and media coverage will highlight all major Trot to Clot Walk and Run corporate sponsors. Exhibit and vendor display booths will also be available to sponsors. Companies and individuals are also asked to donate items for the raffle, door prizes and goodie bags. Organizations and/or corporations interested in supporting HoG’s Trot to Clot Walk and Run are asked to contact Vic McCarty at 770-518-8272 ext. 213 or vamccarty@hog.org
