Maintaining Healthy Teeth Could Mean Less Bleeds

Keeping your teeth and gums healthy can help prevent potential bleeds for people with bleeding disorders. Take advantage of our dental care program to help reduce gum disease or unnecessary dental treatments that can result in bleeds.

Our dental care program provides two free dental cleanings per year to qualified clients. This is the number of recommended dental visits by the National Hemophilia Foundation’s Steps for Living.
You must meet the following requirements to qualify for the program:

  • Be an HoG client with hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease or another bleeding disorder
  • Reside in Georgia and have been a permanent resident of Georgia for one year
  • Provide proof of financial need

If you satisfy these requirements and would like to apply, please contact your HoG Outreach Social Worker or contact Emily Brown, Director of Social Work, at 770-518-8272.
