Help Raise Awareness on World Hemophilia Day

April 17 is World Hemophilia Day and a chance for you to join others around the world to raise awareness about hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. This year’s theme for World Hemophilia Day is “Equitable Access for All: Recognizing all bleeding disorders.” The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) vision of Treatment for All is for a world where all people with bleeding disorders have access to care, regardless of their type of bleeding disorder, gender, age, or where they live. Let’s all come together to continue to work towards a world where everyone with any bleeding disorder has access to diagnosis, treatment, and comprehensive care.

By raising awareness and bringing hemophilia and other bleeding disorders to the attention of policymakers, we can increase access to care and treatment. Everyone can play a part—from patients, family members, and caregivers, to corporate partners, Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) volunteers, and those who support their national member organization.

Get involved by making a donation, telling your story, sharing your challenges, and celebrating your successes! There are several ways you can help spread awareness:

  • Share your picture or make a video and post it on social media. Use #WHD2023 and tag us so we can share your post.
  • Like and share other bleeding disorder posts and stories.
  • Donate and raise money for events supporting the bleeding disorder community.

World Hemophilia Day is a great opportunity to stand with other advocates and show your support for the bleeding disorder community. Let’s show the world what we are made of on April 17!
