Support Hemophilia of Georgia through Matching Gifts

Individual donors can increase the value of their contributions by simply participating in a matching program through their employer.  In this type of program, an individual makes a charitable donation and then his or her employer also makes a donation to that charity. In some cases, the corporations match every dollar the individual donates.  For example, if an employee donates $100 to HoG, the corporation would also donate another $100 to HoG, which makes the actual value of the donation $200.

Your employer may be a matching gift company.  According to HEP Development Studies, Inc., one in every ten individual donors is employed by a company that has a matching gift program.  Matching gifts can also be made on a regular scheduled basis through payroll deductions.

Please follow these steps to find out if your employer will match your donations to Hemophilia of Georgia:

  • Check with your company’s Human Resources or payroll department to see if they offer a matching gift program.
  • Ask your company for a list of eligible nonprofits who can receive matching gifts from your organization.
  • Review the matching gift guidelines established at your company.
  • Complete the necessary enrollment form or other paperwork.
  • Notify Hemophilia of Georgia of your matching gift.
