This year, October 15-21 is National Pharmacy Week, a time to celebrate the invaluable contributions pharmacists and technicians make to patient care. As always, Hemophilia of Georgia’s Pharmacy team remains dedicated to personalized, comprehensive care services specifically tailored to meet the needs of people with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.

At Hemophilia of Georgia, our pharmacists are trained and experienced in working with bleeding disorders and play a critical role in your comprehensive care team.

The HoG pharmacy team includes a total of five pharmacy technicians, two dispensing pharmacists, two MTM pharmacists, and the Vice President of Pharmacy Operations, Leigh Carpenter. As a result, patients of HoG and Beacon pharmacies receive high-quality care through a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Pharmacists plus other members of the clinical care team. The MTM pharmacist collaborates with nurses, social workers, prescribers, and healthcare providers at Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTC) to help patients manage their medications and improve their health outcomes.

As a specialty pharmacy, we provide factor and other medications to treat your bleeding disorder, as well as home-infusion supplies. HoG’s 340B program allows us to purchase factor at a lower cost. We utilize those savings to provide better programs and clinical services to the bleeding disorder community. Additionally, all pharmacy products can be shipped directly to your home or office.

We help take the hassle out of treating and managing your chronic condition. To make life a little
easier for you, we offer:

  •  Personalized care and assessments through our specially trained Medication Therapy Management Pharmacists
  •  24/7 access to our pharmacists and medication services
  •  Drug utilization reviews
  •  Prescription reminder program
  •  Free safety and prevention products
  •  Pharmaceutical recall notifications
