HoG Pharmacies Obtain URAC Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation
We are proud to announce the Hemophilia of Georgia and Beacon pharmacies have once again earned specialty pharmacy accreditation from the URAC. URAC accreditation is the gold standard for specialty pharmacies and having it enables us to maintain our dual-accreditation status, as we are also ACHC accredited. URAC is the independent leader in promoting health care quality by setting high standards for clinical practice, consumer protections, performance measurement, operations infrastructure, and risk management.
To obtain URAC accreditation, our pharmacies must go through a extensive and difficult review process to demonstrate our pharmacies meet URAC’s high-quality standards. The process requires detailed documentation of our quality management program, staff interviews, site visits, and record audits.
