HoG Announces Two Trot to Clot Walks in 2011
Horizons in Hemophilia, December 2010
By Vic McCarty, Director of Development
In June 2010, Hemophilia of Georgia launched The Trot to Clot Walk in an effort to increase funding for programs and services benefitting the bleeding disorder community in Georgia. The first Trot to Clot Walk was a huge success and was supported by local businesses, organizations, and many individuals from Marietta and East Cobb County.
We are pleased to announce the dates for two Trot to Clot Walks in 2011. The first will be on Saturday, April 16 at East Cobb Park in Marietta. Like last year, this Trot to Clot Walk will be a fun, family-friendly walk around the park. As many as 150 participants are expected and we hope to raise up to $30,000 at this walk. On Saturday, May 21 HoG will host the Trot to Clot Walk and Run at Stone Mountain Park. Walkers and runners who are interested in raising funds to benefit Hemophilia of Georgia are encouraged to participate.
Prizes will be awarded to the top individual fundraisers at each of the two Trot to Clot Walks in 2011. Online registration for individuals and teams will be available on the HoG website in February 2011. Contact Vic McCarty at vamccarty@hog.org if you would like more information about either of the Trot to Clot Walks.
