Take Part in World Hemophilia Day
April 17 is World Hemophilia Day and a chance for you to join others around the world to raise awareness about hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders. This year’s theme for World Hemophilia Day is “Access for all: Partnership. Policy. Progress.” It’s a call for us all to engage with our government to help integrate inherited bleeding disorders into national policy.
By raising awareness and bringing hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders to the attention of policymakers, we can increase access to care and treatment. Everyone can play a part—from patients, family members, and caregivers, to corporate partners, Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) volunteers, and those who support their national member organization.
Get involved by telling your story, sharing your challenges, and celebrating your successes! There are several ways you can help spread awareness:
- Share your picture or make a video and post it on social media. Use #WHD2022 and tag us so we can share your post.
- Like and share other bleeding disorder posts and stories.
- Donate to and raise money for events supporting the bleeding disorder community.
World Hemophilia Day is a great opportunity to stand with other advocates and show your support for the inherited bleeding disorder community. Let’s show the world what we are made of on April 17!
