Virtual Beer and Live Golf – Announcing Our Latest Fundraisers
OK, the beer isn’t virtual, but the annual Hops for Hemophilia beer-tasting event will be virtual this year. The 38th annual Hit ‘Em for Hemophilia Golf Tournament, on the other hand, is going to be a live event – the first one we’ve had since February!
Virtual Hops for Hemophilia is set to take place on Sept. 12 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We’ll be streaming on Facebook from our usual SweetWater Brewery location. We hope you’ll hop online (pun intended) for music, trivia and lots of prizes. We will also have Atlanta Braves Radio Reporter Kevin McAlpin emceeing the event. Trivia questions will be posted on Facebook, and you can respond in real-time for great prizes and lots of fun. Let us know if you’ll be joining us. RSVP to our Facebook event (coming soon).
Why are we going live for golf? Our donors and sponsors requested it. We surveyed last year’s participants about the tournament, and they all agreed they wanted to have a live event if possible. Well, we’re making it possible.
Our annual golf outing is scheduled for Oct. 22 at the Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta. We’ll be playing alongside some of our favorite Atlanta Braves while enjoying food and beverages from local vendors. Past celebrity players include Andruw Jones and Brian Snitker. We will follow up the round of golf with live and silent auctions and a relaxing, casual reception in the clubhouse. To learn more, visit hog.org/golf
Net proceeds for both events will fund bleeding disorder research for a cure. We hope you’ll join us online and on the course!
