The John W. Youtsey Memorial Scholarships are available to Georgians in the bleeding disorder community. John W. Youtsey, a former professor and associate dean of the College of Health Sciences at Georgia State University, provided leadership to Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG) from its beginning in 1973 until his death in 1996. He was an HoG board member and chaired the scholarship committee. Over the years, the scholarship program has awarded more than 400 scholarships totaling more than $1 million.
