Share Your Story: Fundraising is a Family Affair
Horizons in Hemophilia, September 2015
By Barbara, Proud Mother
Ever since Stone (10) and his older sister, Chloe (12), were 5, they have been raising money for HoG by setting up a lemonade stand. This past summer, they had the idea to add baked goods to the menu and offered homemade cookies and Rice Krispie treats. They set up on the pathway of our golf course. This summer they raised $65 for HoG. Their sign says all proceeds go to hemophilia. Stone likes it when the golfers ask about why they are raising money for hemophilia. It gives him an opportunity to educate them on his severe hemophilia A. HoG has been such a wonderful organization for our family and we are happy to be able to give back.
