National Hemophilia Foundation Updates In-Home Doses Guidelines
The National Hemophilia Foundation updated its guidelines for “doses in the home” in March. The changes explain what to do during national emergencies like COVID-19. Changes include:
- Clotting factor can be refilled two weeks before your last dose will be used.
- The number of doses you have at home will not be subtracted from your refill.
- You can get an early refill for documented work, school, or travel.
We will adhere to the MASAC guidelines as best we can, but we still must obtain approval from each payer before we dispense.
