This year, October 17-23 is National Pharmacy Week. On this National Pharmacy Week, Hemophilia of Georgia’s Pharmacy team remains dedicated to personalized, comprehensive care services. As always, Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG), an internationally recognized leader in the nonprofit world, renowned for its comprehensive care, programs, and services for people affected with inherited bleeding disorders, is here to serve our clients and the community.

We are excited to announce the newest members of our Pharmacy’s team, Chandni Patel (Pharmacy Technician) and Erika Garcia (Pharmacy Technician) to ensure we provide the highest level of personalized care, specifically tailored to meet the needs of people with hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders.

The HoG pharmacy team includes a total of five pharmacy technicians, two dispensing pharmacists, two MTM pharmacists, and the Vice President of Pharmacy Operations, Leigh Carpenter. As a result, clients of HoG and Beacon pharmacies experience receiving high-quality of care through a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Pharmacists plus other members of the clinical care team. The MTM pharmacist collaborates with nurses, social workers, prescribers, and other healthcare providers to help clients manage their medications, providing clients the highest quality of care possible to improve their health outcomes.

At Hemophilia of Georgia, our pharmacists play a critical role in your comprehensive care team. For more than four decades, we have focused solely on serving those with hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, and other inherited bleeding disorders. Our pharmacists are trained and experienced in working with inherited bleeding disorders. We coordinate your care with health care providers at your Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) and find the best care plan for your specific needs. As a specialty pharmacy, we provide factor and other medications to treat your bleeding disorder, as well as home-infusion supplies. HoG’s 340B program allows us to purchase factor at a lower cost. We utilize those savings to provide better programs and clinical services to the bleeding disorder community. Additionally, all pharmacy products can be shipped directly to your home or office.

We help take the hassle out of treating and managing your chronic condition. To make life a little
