The pharmacy customers receive a flyer with their orders.  The flyers feature someone on our staff each month.  Get to know these wonderful people who serve the bleeding disorder community.

Meet Our New Pharmacist

Resham Sahijram, Meet the New HoG PharmacistWe’d like to introduce you to our new pharmacist, Resham Sahijram, pronounced “Rayshum” or “Raysh.”  Resham is joining the pharmacy team - Leigh, Connie, and Jenny - to give you even better service. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.  She started with Hemophilia of Georgia in April.  She has always loved patient care and being a pharmacist allowed her to play a big part in patient care, while having time for a family life.

She hails from Hanford, California, which is about halfway between San Jose and Los Angeles.  She is married with two girls, Samaya (9 years) and Aashi (4 years).  She loves cooking, singing, and traveling. She is passionate about finding a cure for cancer.  She believes in always being positive and is excited to be part of the Hemophilia of Georgia family. Reysham's Daughters

Meet the Outreach Staff

Jacob Sobel, Social Worker at HoGWe’d like to introduce you to Jacob Sobel, LMSW, Social Worker.  He is a Bulldog through and through (Go Dawgs!), and graduated with a master’s degree from the University of Georgia in 2016.  He’s been with Hemophilia of Georgia for 9 months.

After graduating from college in 2010, he went to South Korea and taught English for a year in Daegu, South Korea. After teaching, he backpacked around Southeast Asia for eight months. He returned to Atlanta for a few months and then headed to Ecuador to live and work in a small town called Mulalillo, where he taught English at the local school.  He worked on farms around the community and learned to milk cows and harvest vegetables. After living in Mulalillo for three months, he taught English for a year in Riobamba, Ecuador. After teaching for a year, he backpacked through South America for six months. There he met his wife, Lesly, in her hometown of Sucre, Boliva.

Benjamin, New Arrival at the Sobel Home

Jacob is an Atlanta-area native and grew up in Norcross.  He and Lesly have a new baby boy, Benjamin, just 3 months old.  When asked how he chose his profession, he answered, “It’s in my blood.”  His grandfather was the executive director for Jewish Family and Career Services and his mother is social worker with a private practice. “I guess it was meant to be,” said Jacob.  He loves his work, his family, and helping people.
