Appreciation Reception
Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG) honored volunteers and donors at the annual Appreciation Reception on April 12 at The Whitley in Buckhead. More than 180 donors, volunteers, and HoG staff members attended the event. It was an evening of celebration. Not only did we celebrate our generous donors and volunteers, we celebrated HoG’s 45th Anniversary.
Sheldon, HoG Junior Board member, was our keynote speaker. Sheldon told his inspiring story and expressed his appreciation for HoG. “I would not be here today if it weren’t for people like you. To me, Hemophilia of Georgia really is more than medicine. It is an organization of kind, generous people who spent their time and resources to nurture an environment for kids like me to grow into a productive member of this community.”
During the reception, the following awards were presented:
Camp Wannaklot Volunteer of the Year, Ashley
Trot to Clot Volunteer of the Year, Bryce
Hit ‘Em for Hemophilia Golf Tournament Volunteers of the Year, Devon and Daydre
Outstanding New Volunteer of the Year, Kerrie
Outstanding Volunteers of the Year, Kristie and Brian
Outstanding Corporate Partner of the Year, North Atlanta Primary Care
Top Fundraiser of the Year, Team Lucas
To top off the evening, HoG presented Emory University with a $10 million pledge that will benefit Emory School of Medicine and Emory Healthcare. The gift will be used to provide patient care and fund research at the newly named Hemophilia of Georgia Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders of Emory.
Hemophilia of Georgia is grateful for all of our volunteers and donors who give generously to help achieve our mission.
