By Vic McCarty, Director of Development
Hemophilia of Georgia’s 29th annual Hit 'Em for Hemophilia Golf Tournament will take place on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Chateau Élan Winery and Resort in Braselton, Georgia. More than 250 business leaders and corporate executives are expected to participate in the tournament, along with current and former Atlanta Braves players and coaches. HoG hopes to raise over $200,000 for bleeding disorders research through the Hit 'Em for Hemophilia Golf Tournament this year.
Current corporate sponsors include AT&T, ADT Security Services, Amdocs, AT&T Towers Group, Atlanta Braves, Baxter Healthcare, Bechtel Communications, CSL Behring, Coca Cola Refreshments USA, Delta Airlines, General Dynamics Wireless, Hewlett-Packard, Macro Helix, Novo Nordisk, The Virgil P. Warren Foundation and United Distributors. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information, download the Hit 'Em for Hemophilia Golf Tournament Sponsorship Brochure.
In addition to a fabulous day of golf, this year’s tournament will feature:
- Golf 101 for Women Seminar – This is an excellent way for a spouse/partner of a participant to come out and enjoy the tournament. Participants will learn the basics of the game and then practice what they have learned on the golf range.
- Hole Sponsors – Corporations can be recognized on one or more courses at the tournament with their logo on a sign at one of the holes. This is an excellent way to gain some marketing exposure for a company that may not be interested in playing golf.
- Slots for an individual golfer – Individuals are encouraged to register. You don’t need to have a complete foursome to play.
HoG is still seeking donations of items for the raffle and live and silent auctions which will be held during the reception. Please contact Lorraine Scollan at 770-518-8272 ext. 205 if you have items to donate. For more information regarding the tournament please visit www.hog.org/golf.
