New StimateĀ® Does Not Need Refrigeration
CSL Behring has announced new storage instructions for its new Stimate® Nasal Spray formulation. Once opened, Stimate® should be kept at room temperature (not to exceed 77 degrees). Stimate® should be discarded six months after being opened. The older formulation of Stimate® still needs to be refrigerated. The HoG pharmacy received the new formulation on June 22. When you receive future orders of Stimate® from the pharmacy, please check the packaging for a note from the pharmacist about storage. Please read the package insert and contact your outreach nurse or the pharmacy if you have any questions. The pharmacist recommends that you write the date you opened the new Stimate® on the bottle so you will know to discard it in six months.
