Step 6: Wash hands

Guidelines:

• Use soap and water.
  
• Wash your arms up to the elbows also.
  
• If you do not have running water nearby, use moist towelettes plus alcohol swabs to clean your hands.

Caution: Anyone helping with mixing or infusing should wash hands and wear disposable gloves.  This will help prevent infection from any germs that might be in the blood or factor.  Open sores or cuts must always be covered.
