The Giving Spirit

The giving spirit. It’s that time of year when you run around with a shopping list of gifts for friends, co-workers, neighbors, and of course, family. If you’re stumped on what to get people on your list, think about honoring them with a donation to Hemophilia of Georgia. Families who are affected by bleeding disorders are hoping for a brighter future, and with your help we can fund research for life-changing therapies and ultimately give the gift of a cure. Make a donation before December 31, 2014 to ensure a deduction for charitable giving on your itemized tax return. Include the honoree’s name and address and we will send a special letter acknowledging a gift from you in their honor.

You made a difference! Tens of thousands of Georgians donated more than $2.3 million to nonprofits close to their hearts on Georgia Gives Day, Thursday, November 13, and Hemophilia of Georgia was a proud recipient of many gifts that day. In just our second year of participating in this special day of giving, our hearts were warmed by the generous donations we received to support research for a cure for hemophilia. We set a goal of raising $1,000 to continue to fund the important research at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Emory University. Thanks to you, we surpassed our goal!
